Lo que comenzó en 1947 como una empresa familiar heredada del ingenioso diseñador Ferdinand Porsche, es hoy una empresa de alcance mundial. Como filial al 100 % de Volkswagen AG, en Porsche Holding somos una de las empresas de distribución automovilística más grandes y exitosas de Europa, con presencia en tres continentes y en un total de 29 países. 2011 to present
The year 2011 marks the beginning of a new era for our company. As a 100% subsidiary of Volkswagen AG, we are continuing our international growth trajectory with the aim of becoming one of the largest and most successful European car dealers in the world. We are helping to drive sustainable change in the automotive sector with our "evolve 2030" Strategy.
Growth and internationalization
1971 to 2010
Porsche Holding Salzburg was founded in 1974 following the retirement of all family members from operational positions. The company made some important structural decisions under the new structure and was able to take advantage of the unprecedented opportunity presented to it in the early 1990s to carry out large-scale internationalization with a view to the future.
Louise Piëch & Ferry Porsche
1945 to 1970
After the Second World War, Ferdinand Porsche's children, Louise Piëch and Ferry Porsche, contributed to the momentum of the new company. Louise Piëch laid the foundation for the company's rapid development in Salzburg by importing Volkswagen vehicles, while Ferry Porsche founded the current company Porsche AG in Stuttgart.
